Jenna Ortega Has Her Eye On You In New HURRY UP TOMORROW Poster

Trey Edward Shults' psychological thriller starring The Weeknd hits theaters on May 16.

Ahead of its May 16 release date, Lionsgate has released a brand new poster for Hurry Up Tomorrow, the upcoming suspense thriller from Trey Edward Shults (Waves, It Comes At Night).

Hurry Up Tomorrow stars The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, in his first feature starring role, alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan.

Billed as an extension of Tesfaye's recently-released album of the same name, Hurry Up Tomorrow is co-written by Shults, The Weeknd and Reza Fahim, and follows “a musician plagued by insomnia gets pulled into an odyssey with a stranger (Ortega) who begins to unravel the very core of his existence.”

Speaking previously with Entertainment Weekly, Shults expanded on the story, saying:

“It's about an artist, you could say, on the verge of a mental breakdown […] He meets this woman, and they go on this odyssey together. It's a mix of psychological thriller and drama. I honestly feel like I've never seen a movie quite like it.”

Tesfaye made his acting debut in Sam Levinson's The Idol, alongside Nosferatu star Lily-Rose Depp. He's also previously graced the cover of FANGORIA, thanks to his work with FX artist Mike Marino.
