Anthology horror If it Bleeds, from filmmaker Matthew Hersh in his directorial debut, has added more names to its cast, along with a first look still from Deadline today.
Newly announced as joining Terrifier star Catherine Corcoran in the indie pic are Nadia Teichmann (Ice Nine Kills Presents: Welcome to Horrorwood), Russell Todd (Friday the 13th Part 2, Chopping Mall), LeeAnna Vamp (Ghosted), Jose Mangin (Ice Nine Kills: A Work of Art), Elle Fox (Little Bites) and Derek ‘Flash Garments’ Shaw (Lord Have Mercy II).
Other previously announced stars include Justin Miles, Doug Jones, Dee Wallace, Krsy Fox, Andy Davoli, Bonnie Aarons, John Kassir, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Chris Labadie, Constance Forslund, Gigi Gustin, Khleo Thomas, Vanessa Decker, Adam Bucci, Maren Altman and Sarah Nicklin.
Plus, Hersh has yet to announce a further “slew” of cameos that will “excite any horror fan”, so keep your eyes peeled for further updates.
In If it Bleeds:
The film follows follows genre actor Catherine Corcoran as a young and ambitious news reporter Diane Winters and her cameraman (Miles), who uncover a mysterious series of gruesome murders that unfold throughout the course of a chaotic and violent day, and become players in the sinister situation along the way. Each segment showcases one of the crime scenes and explores horror subgenres along the way.
Hersh also adds:
I’ve been working on this project for a while now and I’m so excited to see it all coming together […] I’m just blown away by how many talented people believed the vision and signed on to be a part of this wild ride with me and I can’t wait to share more about this project soon.”
Deadline report that Hersh is producing alongside Doug Hawley (Sweetest Day) and Pablo Macho Maysonet IV (Await the Dawn) with Fox, Gustin and Corcoran serving as consulting producers.
