Jenna Ortega Returns As WEDNESDAY In New Season 2 Footage

Tim Burton's smash hit series returns to the streamer sometime this year.

The second season of Tim Burton'sWednesday hits Netflix this year, with the streamer today releasing some first-look footage of star Jenna Ortega back in action as the titular teen.

Wednesday season 2 sees Ortega, Gwendoline Christie, Luiz Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones and original Wednesday Addams herself Christina Ricci returning. Also joining the second season are Lady Gaga, Christopher Lloyd (notably, Uncle Fester from the live action Addams Family movies), Joanna Lumley, Haley Joel Osment and Steve Buscemi.

Billie Piper, Thandiwe Newton, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor also join the second season.

Also returning for the second season is Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin aka the villainous Hyde, who can be seen in Netflix's new footage chained up at the Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital, where he was taken at the end of Season 1. Whatever's in store for Galpin at the hands of Wednesday, she doesn't look happy.

Releasing in November 2022, Wednesday‘s first season scared up record viewership for Netflix,ensuring a second season was quickly greenlit. Plot details for the second season are still under wraps, but exec producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar already have more than a few ideas of how the second season is going to go down. Ortega, who is also on board as executive producer, has already promised that season two will ditch the romance and lean way more into horror
