Jeremy Saulnier (Green Room, Rebel Ridge) is reteaming with A24 for Halloween-set horror action thriller October, Deadline reports.
Cory Michael Smith (Saturday Night, Mountainhead) is set to star, with additional casting underway and plot details still firmly under wraps, aside from the reveal that the pic is a “fugitive” thriller.
Per Deadline, Rich Peete (Neighborhood Watch), Eli Bush (Central) and Saulnier and Skei Saulnier (Niteowl Films) will produce, with Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie (Central), Traci Carlson and Elliott Coley (Neighborhood Watch) and The Toxic Avenger‘s Macon Blair (Bonneville Pictures) exec producing. Saulnier will direct from his own script, with A24 producing and financing.
October marks a return to A24 for Saulnier following 2015's punk rock horror show Green Room, which starred Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots and Patrick Stewart.
