Gareth Edwards' Jurassic World Rebirth, reportedly the most anticipated  movie of the summer, hits theaters on July 2, with today's new trailer teasing another round of carnivorous chaos.

Starring Scarlett Johansson as covert operations expert Zora Bennett,Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s most trusted team member, Jonathan Bailey as paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis and Rupert Friend as Big Pharma representative Martin Krebs, the latest in the franchise was written by original Jurassic Park writer David Koepp:

Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein also star in what the cast has described as a “survival story” that “harkens back to the first film.”

Speaking of the first film, OG Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg returns to Jurassic World Rebirth as executive producer, along with Denis L. Stewart and Jim Spencer. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley are producing.

Today's new trailer gives us a glimpse of what Edwards previously described as a twisted, genetically mutated dinosaur that has “Some Rancor went in there, some H.R. Giger went in there, a little T. rex went in there…” We also get a look at a scene from the original novel that fans have been waiting to see on the big screen since the birth of the Jurassic Park series – the infamous raft sequence.
