In his first creature role since CBS’s The Incredible Hulk, the great Lou Ferrigno will star as a cannibalistic pig farmer in The Hermit, the upcoming horror-thriller from director Salvatore Sclafani.

Sclafani's English-language debut also stars Malina Weissman (Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events) and Anthony Turpel (Hulu’s Love, Victor). An official synopsis reads:

Dragged on a vacation to the woods, teenagers Lisa and Eric's outing quickly spirals into a nightmare as they fight for their lives against an unstoppable cannibal pig farmer.

In a new statement, retired bodybuilder and former World's Strongest Man competitor Ferrigno, who became a cultural icon for his roles in movies like Hercules and of course The Incredible Hulk, expressed his excitement about joining everyone's favorite genre:

“I’m very excited to announce my first horror film, The Hermit […] I’ve always been a big fan of scary movies and I hope this one will be on everyone’s list to watch!”

While The Hermit might be his first pure horror credit, Ferrigno also starred in the 2019 horror-comedy Ring Ring from director Adam Marino.

Uncork’d Entertainment will release The Hermit on Digital and On Demand platforms March 3, following a Los Angeles premiere on March 2. Check out the new trailer and poster below:
