She's back with a brand new upgrade – mini maniac M3GAN returns for an all new chapter of AI mayhem in Blumhouse's sequel M3GAN 2.0, with the first official teaser dropping today ahead of a June 27 theatrical release.
M3GAN's Gerard Johnstone returns as director, with Akela Cooper back on script duties. Horror titan James Wan returns to produce via Atomic Monster.
Allison Williams (Get Out), Violet McGraw (The Haunting of Hill House) and Amie Donald and Jenna Davis, as M3GAN's body and voice respectively, all return to star in the follow-up to the 2023 horror hit, with Ivanna Sakhno (Star Wars Ahsoka series), joining as a newfound threat to M3GAN's reign of terror:
Two years after M3GAN, a marvel of artificial intelligence, went rogue and embarked on a murderous (and impeccably choreographed) rampage and was subsequently destroyed, M3GAN’s creator Gemma (Williams) has become a high-profile author and advocate for government oversight of A.I. Meanwhile, Gemma’s niece Cady (McGraw), now 14, has become a teenager, rebelling against Gemma’s overprotective rules.
Unbeknownst to them, the underlying tech for M3GAN has been stolen and misused by a powerful defense contractor to create a military-grade weapon known as Amelia (Sakhno), the ultimate killer infiltration spy. But as Amelia’s self-awareness increases, she becomes decidedly less interested in taking orders from humans. Or in keeping them around. With the future of human existence on the line, Gemma realizes that the only option is to resurrect M3GAN (Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis) and give her a few upgrades, making her faster, stronger, and more lethal. As their paths collide, the original A.I bitch is about to meet her match.
The M3GAN universe is also set to expand with its first spinoff movie, SOULM8TE from director Kate Dolan (You Are Not My Mother) and starring Evil Dead Rise‘s Lily Sullivan, billed for release on January 2, 2026.
