You can count on fantastic frights this month from the new Horror movies on Shudder. In what has become a yearly tradition, Shudder has some fan favorites back for the beginning of fall. Found footage nightmare V/H/S/ has returned with a film with the most fitting title for October 2025, V/H/S/Halloween. Could it be more perfect? Joe Bob and Darcy will make three trips to The Last Drive-In, and you have no less than six Watch Parties to enjoy this month.

New shows include The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula: Titans and Greg Nicotero's Guts & Glory, and if you just want to relax in front of a faux fireplace, aka your TV,  to dream of pumpkins, the Andujar Twins have dreamed up a new Revenge of the Ghoul Log for you. French director David Moreau has a new Shudder Original Film premiering this month with OTHER.

Be sure not to miss the Shudder repertory titles, because tucked in there are all four of the [REC] films, co-created by Spanish directors Paco Plaza and Jaume Balagueró. Plaza, who also directed a segment in V/H/S/Halloween, is a director whose work is worth discovering.  There is also an atmospheric title available that is rarely on streaming, Final Prayer  (aka The Borderlands), which is a bit of a white whale for fans in the know.

Finally, AMC, the parent company of Shudder, will unleash this year's Fear Fest with the Hallowqueen, Janelle Monáe presiding over the festivities with a mammoth 650 hours of scary movies during the scary season. Monáe has even curated her own list of favorites that are part of a special playlist. She said, “Halloween is a time to investigate fears, transform them, and celebrate the unknown. Horror has always been a space to honor the horror classics, like the films that shaped me, while championing bold new voices and reinventing the way stories are told. I’m thrilled to return as the HalloQueen with AMC Networks and FearFest to share my favorite films, spotlight iconic franchises, and share this Halloween season with all my fellow horror enthusiasts!”

The Andujar Twins, the production design team behind Shudder’s Birth/Rebirth and the recent I Know What You Did Last Summer,  have resurrected everyone’s favorite jack-o-lantern. The new hour-long video of the chilling, candlelit pumpkin sets the scene for horror fans all month long.
