I Trapped the Devil director Josh Lobo returns with his sophomore feature Night After Night, and we've got an exclusive look at the genre-bending thriller today.
Starring in the sci-fi pic are Scott Poythress (I Trapped The Devil, Perish), Johnny Sibilly (Hacks, Queer As Folk), Alexis Louder (Copshop, The Changeling), Trace Lysette (Monica, Hustlers), and A.J. Bowen (You're Next, The Sacrament).
Written by Lobo and Rowan Russell, Night After Night follows the contrasting lives of two overnight security guards at a private university, whose grip on reality begins to unravel after the appearance of a mute figure who returns each night without explanation.
Also starring are Horace Gold, Melissa and Michelle Macedo, and Jennifer Blair, with Simon Waskow (Cuckoo) providing the score.
Speaking exclusively with FANGORIA, Lobo speaks more about his influences behind Night After Night:
After I Trapped the Devil, I think there was an expectation for the kind of film we’d eventually follow it up with. It took six years, but I couldn’t be prouder of just how different Night After Night is. A real love child of all my interests from J-Horror and Kobo Abe, to J.G. Ballard and Office Space. It’s been the hardest project of my life, and I couldn’t have done it without the endless trust of collaborators.
Night After Night is produced by Russell, Lobo, Alex Dandino, Bruno Corbin, and Logan Taylor under their banner Restricted Pictures, alongside A Group of Ferrets' David Hopwood (Power, Den of Thieves), Michael Dwyer (Water Wars, Hanky Panky), and Corey Moosa (Margin Call). Also Executive Producing are Jiarui Guo (The Brutalist, Oh Canada), Yuwei Du (Oh Canada) of Incandescent Pictures, Roy Hsu (Cheap AF, Tender), Alexis Louder (Azaziah Productions), Ethan Aurand, Michael Browne and Frankie Seratch.
