If the $20,000 coffin or the “eau de macabre” perfume wasn’t enough, Heretic Parfum has yet another piece of Nosferatu-themed ephemera for you to collect. After releasing their popular fragrance in partnership with Focus Features, the house has now released a limited edition candle featuring some of the notes as the perfume, for when you need your house to smell like death and decay rather than vanilla.

Housed in a vessel made of ox-blood glass themed after Orlok’s coffin, the six ounce candle features “top notes of lilac and ambrette seed that fall into a heart chord of violet, orris root and petrichor. The mysterious dry-down is woven around vegan ambergris and Oud absolute. Described as, cold, pale and pellucid, the fragrance evokes the uneasy chill of encountering an apparition.” Whether any of that actually evokes what one thinks of when they think of Count Orlok is anyone’s guess, but for a retail price of $175, it’s a pricey bet to take if you’re a diehard fan.

Directed by Robert Eggers, Nosferatu — which stars Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, and Willem Dafoe, as well as Bill Skarsgård leading the film as the terrifying Count Orlok — has been a smash hit with audiences. The film is based on the iconic silent film of the same name, Eggers’ latest after 2022’s The Northman. FANGORIA’s own Jordan Hoffman praised the film’s trust in its source material, saying it’s “like going to see a production of Hamlet that doesn’t do anything zany or modern with the setting or the cast, it simply trusts the story and the audience enough to play it straight.”

Both the Nosferatu perfume and the new candle are available for pre-order on Heretic Parfum’s website now. Nosferatu is playing in theaters and available at home on digital.
