If you've not yet seen Robert Eggers' Gothic epic Nosferatu and want to keep the reveal of Bill Skarsgård's terrifying Count Orlok a surprise, consider skipping the below teaser. For everyone else – get in here, because Focus Features has revealed the mustache.
Continuing to make big bucks at the box office following its Christmas Day release, Nosferatu stars Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe and Skarsgård, who calls his role as the ancient bloodsucker “the scariest performance of [his] career.” Big talk coming from a guy who's about to step back into Pennywise's oversized clown shows, but we're inclined to agree with him.
Today's new teaser shows some behind-the-scenes tidbits that will, hopefully, be extras on the upcoming Nosferatu physical media release (that Eggers has confirmed contains an extended cut complete with deleted scenes), as well as Skarsgård going further into detail about the jaw-dropping transformation process he undertook.
Keeping Skarsgård's full reveal a secret has evidently worked like gangbusters, just as it did for NEON with their Longlegs marketing. While he only appears at the end of today's new teaser for a few seconds, it's still the best look we've gotten of him in any official capacity so far.
For more Orlok in his full glory, catch him on the cover of FANGORIA #26, which you can grab right here. Watch the new teaser below:
