Osgood Perkins Would Like To Talk To You About THE MONKEY

The R-rated horror comedy hits theaters tomorrow.

Ahead of tomorrow's release of Osgood Perkins' The Monkey, the director himself would like to say a few words to convince you to show up and see the hyper-dark horror comedy (as if you weren't going to already.)

Based on a Stephen King short of the same name included in his 1985 collection Skeleton Crew, The Monkey stars Theo James (The White Lotus), Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Elijah Wood (Maniac, The Lord Of The Rings, Bookworm), Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth), Colin O’Brien (Wonka), Rohan Campbell (Halloween Ends) and Sarah Levy (Schitt’s Creek).

In the R-rated The Monkey:

When twin brothers Hal and Bill discover their father’s old monkey toy in the attic, a series of gruesome deaths starts occurring all around them. The brothers decide to throw the monkey away and move on with their lives, growing apart over the years. But when the mysterious deaths begin again, the brothers must reunite to find a way to destroy the monkey for good before it takes the lives of everyone close to them.

Produced by horror master James Wan, The Monkey is Perkins' follow-up to last year's serial killer thriller Longlegs, which became Neon's highest-grossing film and the highest-grossing independent film of the year. That level of success certainly bodes well for The Monkey‘s chance at the box office.

Don't miss The Monkey in theaters tomorrow. Now be good and listen to Mr. Perkins:
