Following the success of Five Nights at Freddy‘s, Blumhouse has announced another horror game adaptation is en route with their take on the 2020 indie hit, Phasmophobia.
James Wan's Atomic Monster is also onboard to produce the supernatural horror, which was announced yesterday at Blumhouse's first-ever “The Business of Fear” event in Hollywood.
Developed by British studio Kinetic Games, the ghost-hunting hit Phasmophobia blends immersive paranormal investigation and co-operative gameplay to great effect, as players work solo or in a group with up to three other players to complete a contract in which they must identify the type of ghost haunting the specified site. Since release, the game has surpassed 23 million in global sales, and took home Best Debut Game award at The 2020 Game Award.
News on Blumhouse's adaptation, such as cast, distributor, director or release date, has yet to be revealed, but rest assured we'll keep you posted. While you wait, read more on the latest in horror gaming right here.
