Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has taken over the box office (and the world). If you're in Los Angeles, you'll have a chance to step into the Afterlife in the BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE: The Afterlife Experience. Time slots sold out almost immediately, but due to popular demand, the experience has extended its run! Fans will now have the opportunity to visit through November 3, 2024.
The experience takes guests on a journey into the iconic universe of our favorite bio-exorcist through over 11,000 square feet of moments inspired by the sequel. Featuring recreated sets, live entertainment and various photo ops, fans will be immersed in the world of the recently deceased. But this is no mere Instagram photo opp, this thing is immersive. We recently stopped in as members of the Recently Deceased Club to test it out. Check out a sneak peek tour below.

Your journey into the Afterlife begins with a door, of course! Knock three times on the chalk door drawn on the brick wall and cross the threshold. When the door opens, and a soft glow is emitted from the other side, there is a starkly marked moment of Here and There. As you wind your way through the iconic Burton-esque hallways, you'll find yourself in a waiting room with fellow recently deceased guests. Here, you'll grab an official passport, the journey is just beginning.

Once your paperwork is complete, it's time to check in at the Immigration window where you'll need to answer a series of questions. As long as your passport is approved, you'll be able to move on to the Afterlife. Good news: There is lots to do in the Afterlife. I was probably most excited to learn they have diners and bars.

That's right, you can get a cheeseburger in the Afterlife and that was pretty much all I needed to know to confirm I could survive here. The Afterlife Diner offers a themed menu (including desserts), and the bar offers appropriately themed cocktails. You can also get those Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Fanta sodas in abundance!

You'll have the opportunity to jump on the Soul Train, stop by the beauty parlor to enhance your newly undead pallor, learn your fortune, and may even encounter a Sandworm. As I mentioned, this is much more than a photo op, and what you put into the experience will dictate what you get out of it. There are lots of souls in the Afterlife, and they are incredibly friendly! Get to know them; you may find some interesting backstories (and it's quite possible not everyone is exactly who or what they seem). Keep your passport handy; you'll need it as you roam the Neitherworld.

During my short stay in the Afterlife, I opened up a successful business as a co-owner with the help of Barbara and our mentor, Josephine. The latter sometimes works the Immigration desk but can also be found roaming around performing safety inspections and increasing workplace morale.

We met my favorite, Miss Argentina, but our conversation was rudely interrupted by a certain trickster demon. Speaking of… I also spent some time with The Ghost with the Most. He still thinks the Maitlands are a couple of wet blankets, but he's come around a bit (maybe thanks to his new couples therapy endeavor).

I don't want to spoil the surprises for you, as encountering those is half the fun! But roam around, chat up the ghosts you encounter along the way, and have fun with it! There's also a selection of limited-edition merchandise and collectibles available at the Afterlife Souvenir Shop, open to both ticketed and non-ticketed guests.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice: The Afterlife Experience runs through November 3rd at Ovation Hollywood. Tickets are now available exclusively at www.BeetlejuiceExperience.com. Guests can reserve timed entry tickets starting at $25.
