2025 marks 40 years since the release of Stuart Gordon's Re-Animator, and Ignite Films and Eagle Rock Pictures have teased something special en route for fans of the iconic sci-fi horror comedy…
Starring FANGORIA faves Barbara Crampton and Jeffrey Combs, the latter as a medical student who has invented a reagent which can re-animate deceased bodies, 1985's Re-Animator is a bonafide cult classic, spawning sequels, musicals, comics and more.
An official press release from Ignite Films and Eagle Rock Pictures is verrrrry cryptic:

Given that Ignite Films and Eagle Rock Pictures teamed up to launch an award-winning home video label (most recently blessing fans with a 4K UHD release of Invaders from Mars), it's probably not a huge stretch to expect that what they're teasing could be some super deluxe 4K release of Re-Animator…right? Only time will tell.
