Since news broke that Scary Movie is getting rebooted with the Wayans Brothers at the helm, one burning question has been on the lips of fans of the horror-comedy spoof: will stars Regina Hall and Anna Faris be returning?
According to a new interview with Hall for TV Insider, nothing is yet set in stone, but similarly, nothing is off the table.
Hall starred in Scary Movies 1 – 4 as the hilarious Brenda Meeks, the best friend of Faris' Cindy Campbell. Parodying everything from Saw to The Ring, the actress blessed audiences with some of the franchise's most hilarious lines and scenes (guaranteed you've got one playing in your head right now)

Anna is great. I’m just very excited to know that the Wayans, who actually started the project out of their idea, are back on board and at the helm again. I’m excited for them. We’ll see if Brenda is in this new world. I’m thrilled at the possibility that the band could get back together again. That would be fun.
So, there you have it folks – no promises, but honestly what would a Scary Movie be without Hall? It's no coincidence that 2013's Scary Movie 5 (the only film in the series without Hall and Faris) is the lowest-grossing of the entire franchise.
Paramount and Miramax will release the as-of-now-untitled sixth Scary Movie (Scary Movie 6?) theatrically next year. We'll keep you updated on more news (including, hopefully, Hall's confirmed return!) as we get it.
