Sarah Squirm, the unholy alter ego of comedian Sarah Sherman, is unleashing her first stand-up comedy special on the world with Sarah Squirm: Live + In the Flesh heading to HBO Max next month.

Debuting on the streamer on December 12 at 9pm ET/PT, Sarah Squirm: Live + In the Flesh is described as a festering and hilarious hour of bodily fluids, open-wound confessionals, and jokes that will leave scars on your soul. So yes, consider us very much seated.

Directed by Cody Critcheloe and executive produced by Sherman, Sarah Squirm: Live + In the Flesh sees Squirm, a main player on Saturday Night Live, go absolutely apeshit on stage, even eliciting an ‘ew' from the Pope of Trash himself, John Waters. Also executive producing are SNL showrunner Lorne Michaels, Hilary Marx and Taylor Segal for Broadway Video, Ronald Bronstein, Eli Bush and Josh Safdie for Central, Matthew Vaughan for Rotten Science, and Jack Bensinger.

Nina Rosenstein, EVP of HBO programming for late night and specials, had the following to say of Squirm's Live + In the Flesh:

“If a special could feel like plugging directly into a live wire – this is definitely it! Sarah’s first special is so distinctly her own. She’s hysterically funny, wildly creative and has a kind of fearless audacity that makes this special truly unforgettable,”
