Now that they’ve found their beloved Great Dane, Netflix’s live-action Scooby-Doo series is rounding out its cast — including one face that should be very familiar to horror lovers. The streamer revealed that a whopping fifteen actors have joined Scooby-Doo: Origins alongside its teenage stars, including Sarah Gilbert, Bruce McGill, and Twin Peaks alum Sherilyn Fenn.
Those three stars join a hefty lineup of new faces joining the call sheet, a list that also includes (deep breath!) Rusty Schwimmer, Peter Macon, Maxwell Simkins, Jona Xiao, Dani Deetté, Elysée Sanvillé, Alex Isles, Avery Kristen Pohl, Pamela Mitchell, Ross Kimball, Wynn Everett, and Sauriyan Sapkota. They’ll fill out the show around its four main stars: Mckenna Grace as Daphne, Abby Ryder Forston as Velma, Tanner Hagen as Shaggy, and Maxwell Jenkins as Fred.

Paul Walter Hauser is also a part of the upcoming series, though Netflix has not revealed who he’ll be playing, and some speculate he might be voicing the titular pup. Really, anything goes, considering we know almost nothing about the show beyond its current synopsis:
During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder. Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets.
The live-action Scooby-Doo series will be helmed by writers/showrunners Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg. Executive producers include André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Leigh London Redman. This is, obviously, the latest in a long line of live-action versions of the famous cartoon, a list that most notably includes two films starring Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, and Linda Cardellini. Maybe we can hope for some cameos?
No release date has been set for Netflix’s Scooby-Doo series. Stay tuned to FANGORIA for more updates.
