Konami is set to host another Silent Hill Transmission event this Thursday, March 13, featuring new information on the mysterious Silent Hill f, previously announced back in 2022.
Confirming the news on Twitter/X, the official Silent Hill account shared that the next Transmission event will air at at 3:00 p.m. PT / 6:00 p.m. ET, with a live-streaming link to follow soon.
The last Silent Hill Transmission event resurrected Konami's long-dormant psychological horror gaming franchise from the dead, announcing a Silent Hill 2 remake from Konami and Bloober Team, Christophe Gans' movie sequel Return to Silent Hill ,the interactive experience Silent Hill: Ascension, as well as two new mainline games, Silent Hill: Townfall and Silent Hill: f. While the Silent Hill 2 remake was a massive success, with Bloober Team already expressing interest in remaking other entries in the series, updates on Silent Hill f have been few and far between.
The game was recently being rated by South Korea's Game Rating and Administration Committee, with Silent Hill lead series producer Motoi Okamoto most recently asking us to “wait a little longer” for concrete news.
What we do know about Silent Hill f is that the game is produced by Okamoto and developed by Taiwanese company NeoBards Entertainment, with a story by writer Ryukishi07 (When They Cry) and artist Kera (Spirit Hunter NG) handling creature and character design.
An official teaser released in 2022 is so far the only insight we have to the game's design and story, with some speculating that the game will examine the physical, mental and cultural traumas left behind after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II.
Make sure you tune in for the Silent Hill Transmission this Thursday, and check back for updates as we get them.
