SILENT HILL F Confirms Fall Release Date With Terrifying New Gameplay Footage

Konami's eighth mainline game in the survival horror series is set in 1960s Japan.

Konami's Silent Hill f is officially set for release on September 25, with today bringing a brand new teaser revealing terrifying new footage and monsters in the survival horror game.

Developed by Taiwanese company NeoBards Entertainment, with a story by writer Ryukishi07 (When They Cry) and artist Kera (Spirit Hunter NG) handling creature and character design, Silent Hill f marks the eighth mainline game in the Silent Hill series  which started in 1999 with the eponymous first game, and most recently saw Bloober Team's remake of Silent Hill 2.

Back in March, Konami's Silent Hill transmission revealed further details about the mysterious game that was first announced in 2022. The game is set in 1960s Japan, and follows a teenage girl named Shimizu Hinako:

“Hinako was living her life as an ordinary teenager […] That is, until her town is suddenly shrouded in fog and begins to change in a horrific way. Now, she must explore a town she no longer recognizes while solving puzzles, fighting strange enemies, and doing everything she can to survive… in order to face the ultimate decision that she must make. This is a tale about a beautiful yet terrifying choice.”

Today's new footage reveals some nightmarish monsters totally in line with what we've come to expect from Silent Hill, and after more than a few lackluster entries in the franchise, it's exciting to see that the series is getting back on track.

Silent Hill f  will be available on PlayStation 5,Windows and Xbox Series X/S, and can be added to Wishlist via Steam. UK fans can also pre-order a grisly SteelBook exclusive right here.Watch the new footage below:
