New SILENT HILL F Story Trailer Teases Creepy Plot Details

Konami's eighth mainline game in the survival horror series is set in 1960s Japan.

Gamescom's Opening Night has given gamers another sneak peek at Konami's long-awaited Silent Hill f, with a new story trailer revealing the English dub for the first time.

Releasing on September 25 on PlayStation 5,Windows and Xbox Series X/S, Silent Hill f marks the eighth mainline game in the Silent Hill series which started in 1999 with the eponymous first game, and most recently saw Bloober Team's remake of Silent Hill 2. Developed  by Taiwanese company NeoBards Entertainment, Silent Hill f  features a story by writer Ryukishi07 (When They Cry) and artist Kera (Spirit Hunter NG) handling creature and character design.

Set in 1960s Japan, the game follows a young girl named Hinako Shimizu, whose town of Ebisugaoka is suddenly shrouded in fog and begins to change in a horrific way:

Now, she must explore a town she no longer recognizes while solving puzzles, fighting strange enemies, and doing everything she can to survive in order to face the ultimate decision that she must make. This is a tale about a beautiful yet terrifying choice.

Per new details, voice actress Suzie Yeung (Final Fantasy VII Remake: Episode Intermission, Chainsaw Man and Persona 3 Reload) will provide the English dub for Hinako's voice, played by Konatsu Kato in the original Japanese version.

Today's new story trailer gives a better look at Silent Hill f‘s “distinctly Japanese” horror themes, as Hinako awakens in a mysterious temple and is forced to fight some classically Silent Hill (read: incredibly fucked up) monsters.

Silent Hill f  will be available from September 25 on PlayStation 5,Windows and Xbox Series X/S, and can be added to Wishlist via Steam. UK fans can also pre-order a grisly SteelBook exclusive right here.  Check out the new story trailer below:
