Rohan Campbell’s already got a partner in crime for the new Silent Night, Deadly Night reboot. Bloody Disgusting reports that Ruby Modine has joined the cast of the upcoming reboot film, to be directed by Mike P. Nelson, playing the role of Pamela alongside the Halloween Ends star as slasher Billy.
Modine is, of course, daughter of veteran actor Matthew Modine, best known at the moment for his role as Dr. Brenner in Netflix’s horror series Stranger Things, but also for titles like Full Metal Jacket, Vision Quest, and this year’s Zero Day. Her credits include both films in the Happy Death Day franchise, directed by Christopher Landon, as well as the 2019 film Satanic Panic and the 2023 film Fear. Not much is known about how she’ll be involved in the reimagined version of Silent Night, Deadly Night, beyond a previously released synopsis.
According to Bloody Disgusting, the reboot “centers on a young boy who witnesses the murder of his parents at the hands of a man dressed as Santa, only to grow up and become a killer himself. Haunted by trauma and fueled by a twisted sense of justice, he puts on the Santa suit and punishes the naughty. Blending psychological horror, brutal slasher thrills and a touch of the supernatural and, shockingly, a sprinkle of romance, the new film hopes to deliver a modern new take on the ultimate holiday nightmare.”
The reboot will also be produced by Scott Schneid and Dennis Whitehead, who produced the 1984 original, alongside Jamie R. Thompson for New Dimension and Jeremy Torrie for White Bear Films. Steven Schneider and Anthony Masi serve as executive producers.
No release date has been announced for the Silent Night, Deadly Night reboot. Stay tuned to FANGORIA for more updates.
