Final SMILE 2 Trailer Will Have You Screaming

Parker Finn's sequel to the 2022 horror hit comes to theaters this Friday.
SMILE 2

Fresh off rave reviews coming from the Los Angeles premiere, Parker Finn's Smile 2 gets an intense final trailer today ahead of its release this Friday, October 18.

Starring Naomi Scott, Smile 2 follows the 2022 surprise mega hit Sosie Bacon-starring Smile, which racked up $217 million worldwide against a $17 million budget (thanks in part to a very imaginative and creepy marketing campaign that Paramount Pictures are – wisely – putting to good use again)

In Smile 2:

“About to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley (Scott) begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.”

Also returning for Smile 2 is scream king Kyle Gallner (Scream, The Passenger, Strange Darling), who had a starring role in the first movie, with the sequel adding Rosemarie DeWitt (The Staircase), Lukas Gage (The White Lotus), Miles Gutierrez-Riley (The Wilds), Peter Jacobson (Fear the Walking Dead), Raúl Castillo (Army of the Dead), Dylan Gelula (Dream Scenario) and Ray Nicholson (Panic), who can be seen in today's new trailer with a smile very reminiscent of his acting legend father, Jack.

In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Finn (who has also been tapped to direct an upcoming remake of Andrzej Żuławski's disturbing 1981 cult horror Possession with star Robert Pattinson…) hinted that Smile 2 may not be the end of the franchise, and could, in fact, just be the beginning.

I do think that there are so many exciting places that Smile could go. For me, it's still always about wanting to do something thematically rich that's centered on character stories. I love where this film goes, and right now I'm excited for audiences to see Smile 2. Hopefully, if they embrace it, I think that there could be a really interesting future for Smile.

If today's intense and terrifying new trailer is anything to go by, horror fans will have as much of a blast with Smile 2 as they did with the first. Watch it below before Smile 2 releases in theaters nationwide this Friday.
