STRANGER THINGS Season 5 Wraps Filming, Netflix Shares New BTS Pics

The final season of the Duffer Brothers' sci-fi horror hit series premieres sometime in 2025.

The fifth and final season of the Duffer Brothers' Stranger Things has officially wrapped filming, with Netflix sharing a bunch of new behind-the-scenes pictures before the series returns in 2025.

Returning for the grand finale of the sci-fi horror show are pretty much the entire cast, including David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Sadie Sink, Winona Ryder, Maya Hawke, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Priah Ferguson, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton.

New cast additions include Terminator legend Linda Hamilton, Cujo‘s Dee Wallace and Evil Dead Rise‘s Nell Fisher.

Stranger Things' record-breaking Season 4 ended with a bang back in 2022, with the gang facing off against the season's big bad Vecna. New fan-favorite Eddie Munson (played by Joseph Quinn) sacrificed himself to save Hawkins, although Vecna's power left the Upside Down spreading into the small town and Max (Sink) in a coma.

Plot details for the next season are tightly under wraps, but we do know that Prey‘s Dan Trachtenberg is set to direct at least one episode.

Anticipation for the season finale is high, with the Duffers and producer Shawn Levy assuring fans that Stranger Things 5 is going to be “as big as any of the biggest movies we see.”

Episode titles for the fifth season have already been revealed, with one particular title standing out – could “The Vanishing Of ____” refer to the passing of a main character?

A specific release date for Stranger Things Season 5 has not been revealed yet. Check out the new BTS photos below courtesy of Netflix:
