Following a successful debut earlier this month in Netflix's Global Top 10 at #7, Stranger Things spinoff series Tales from '85 has officially bagged the greenlight for a second season.
Executive produced by Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers and showrun by Eric Robles (Fanboy & Chum Chum, Glitch Techs), Tales from '85 expanded the sci-fi horror series that officially came to a close on December 31, 2025, after five record-breaking seasons. Set between Season 2 and 3, Tales from '85 saw the return of the now-iconic Hawkins gang in animated forms, with new actors taking on the roles vocally: Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Benjamin Plessala as Will, and Brett Gipson as Hopper.
Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips also provide their vocal talents as new character additions Nikki Baxter, Anna Baxter, and Daniel Fischer respectively.
An official logline for Season 2 of Tales from '85 doesn't reveal too much, aside from promising that, after uncovering a fearsome mystery at the end of Season 1, Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max and Nikki will take on another perilous threat when new episodes head to Netflix this fall. An official statement from Robles teases more:

We’re thrilled to return to the winter of ’85 for season two. The Hawkins Investigators Club is back, and a new paranormal threat has emerged from the town’s abandoned silver mines. I can’t wait for fans to discover where this entity and the mysterious blue flower we last saw blooming in the Upside Down at the end of Season 1 take our young heroes.
