For those interested in expanding their horror palettes beyond just American cinema, Prime Video has a great new offering for you: Suspicion, a new supernatural thriller hitting the streamer on Thanksgiving. They’ve just released a trailer for the Nigerian film via Variety, which will be available globally on November 28.

The film stars Stan Nze as a Nigerian magician who puts his skills to use to hunt down those responsible for killing his goddaughter. Exploring the intersection between African mysticism and our own modern sense of morality, Nze’s Voke finds himself in over his head in a complex world that has it out for him just as much as he has it out for his goddaughter’s killers.

“African powers aren’t just about spectacle, they’re deeply rooted in moral responsibilities and consequences,” director Tosin Igho told Variety. “Traditional African magic has always been about balance. When you dish out vengeance, you must be prepared to taste its bitterness yourself.”

“’Suspicion’ is more than a story of supernatural vengeance; it’s an exploration of justice through an African lens,” added Nze. This film challenges us to confront the moral costs of power and journeys into the soul of Nigerian culture, seeing justice, vengeance, and tradition clash in complex and unexpected ways. Audiences will have a new perspective of African mysticism rarely explored on this scale.”

The film also stars Omowunmi Dada, Kalu Ikeagwu, Uzor Arukwe, Shaffy Bello, and Richard Mofe-Damijo, who serves as executive producer. It’s produced through Igho’s Divergent Films banner, and features practical and CGI effects from the company. It joins a great lineup of horror films available to stream on Prime Video, including Nia DaCosta’s Candyman, House of Spoils, and Totally Killer
