In one of the stranger promotional stunts we’ve seen lately — even for horror movies — Terrifier icon Art the Clown is set to make a special public appearance this Halloween. On Thursday, the slasher king of the box office is set to ring the closing bell at the NasDaq MarketSite, along with executives from distributor Cineverse as they ring in All Hallow’s Eve.

This is, of course, a celebration of Terrifier 3’s massive success at the box office since its release, taking on major blockbuster juggernauts and coming out on top. Since its release. Terrifier 3 has made over $45 million domestically, and over $50 million at the global box office, blowing its indie budget clean out of the water, even as it’s been banned in certain countries. It’s currently the thirtieth highest grossing film at this year’s box office, and could continue to climb the charts as it remains in theaters.

“Art the Clown and Terrifier 3 took on The Joker at the box office and won, and now are taking on the street,” said Cineverse Chief Legal Officer Gary Loffredo. “As our company marks one of the most exciting phases since it began being listed on Nasdaq nearly two decades ago, it’s only fitting that on Halloween we are joined by the iconic character, from our number one movie, to ring the closing bell.”

Terrifier 3 is officially the highest grossing unrated film of all time, beating out Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, and it looks like we haven’t seen the end of the Art the Clown saga just yet. David Howard Thornton is set to reprise his role as the villainous clown for a fourth installment, directed by Damien Leone, who’s been at the helm since the first film slashed its way to our screens in 2016. Where the saga will end, nobody knows, but we’re certainly excited to see more of our favorite final girl Sienna Shaw when it does.

Terrifier 3 is currently playing in theaters.
