Fans might have to wait until Valentine’s Day for Art the Clown to return to their TV screens when Terrifier 3 hits Screambox, but the musician behind some of the film’s best tracks has some great news to hold them over: two new songs featured in the film are available to stream now, to fill the void until Art brings his bloody mayhem to a new streamer.
The tunes were written by musician and filmmaker Rostislav Vaynshtok, as a part of his recent musical project Slavvy. Having also written the end credits track for Terrifier 2, these new tracks are his first since his 2023 EP Pragmatic, with both the Title Credits Theme and Killer Theme primarily composed as film scores, though they’re certainly entertaining enough to listen to on their own.
“It’s completely insane that Terrifier has become the global phenomenon that it has,”Vaynshtok said in a statement. “This is like an iconic, era defining franchise at this point. It’s patently insane that I was lucky enough to stumble ass backwards into something so culturally significant. I’m just a huge fan of the original, and excited for the privilege to continue to be involved. Art is in the conversation with Michael Myers, Chuckie, Ghostface, Freddy, and Pinhead. Hands down. Something like $90m worldwide just for Terrifier 3, and it’s a testament to Damien, Phil, and everyone at Cinedigm/ Screambox who believed in the little psycho clown that could.”
Slavvy has also contributed music for the Screambox film All My Friends Are Dead, as well as the upcoming documentary Art Attack! The Dissection of Terrifier 3, which hits Screambox in March. Slavvy will be donating all profits from both Terrifier 3 tracks to charities servicing the victims of the recent California wildfires. “This is the only meaningful way I can think to give back,.” he says, “So anything these tracks make will go to people who need it, including the royalties I get from having these songs in the film.”
But the Terrifier music isn’t the only project he’s set to release this year. He also revealed that he has a new EP, titled Melancholic, dropping later this year, which will consist of seven songs, including one featured in a new Terrifier 3 behind the scenes featurette.
Terrifier 3 premieres on Screambox on Valentine’s Day, February 14. Both of Slavvy’s songs from the film are available to stream on Spotify now.
