Mark Duplass is back with another delivery of The Creep Tapes, and this time, he’s bringing some familiar friends with him. As announced during its world premiere at Fantastic Fest tonight, Season 2 of the acclaimed series will premiere on Shudder on November 14, featuring brand new guest stars across six episodes.
Duplass and co-writer and exercitive producer Patrick Brice announced that Season 2 will feature the talents of horror mainstay David Dastmalchian, as well as Robert Longstreet, Katie Aselton, Diego Josef, Desean Terry, Alec Bewkes, Linas Phillips, Taylor Garron, Timm Sharp, Jody Lambert, and Jeff Man. The logline for the new season is as follows:
Season two will continue to expose a collection of video tapes from the secret vault of the world’s deadliest and most socially uncomfortable serial killer (Duplass). Unfortunately, as the tape rolls, the killer’s questionable intentions surface with his increasingly odd behavior and the victims will learn they may have made a deadly mistake.
The Creep Tapes Season 2 debuts as part of Shudder’s Season of Screams event, the bookend to their extensive tenth anniversary celebrations, which spotlight everything from 28 Weeks Later to The Blair Witch Project and a brand new Ghoul Log. A series of new images from the upcoming season was also released today, featuring not only a sneak peek at Dastmalchian’s guest role, but also one of Peachfuzz’s many aliases and another of his many kills.
The Creep Tapes, the third installment in the popular found footage franchise, is executive produced by Duplass and Brice, the latter of whom directs the series, as well as Mel Eslyn, Jay Duplass, and Chris Donlon, with co-executive producer Shuli Harel and producer John Baker.
