Glen Powell’s Game Begins In First Official THE RUNNING MAN Trailer

Edgar Wright's Stephen King adaptation hits theaters on November 7.

Following yesterday's explosive first look at leading man Glen Powell in action, Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for Edgar Wright's The Running Man ahead of its November 7 theatrical release.

Based on Stephen King's (then going by Richard Bachman) 1982 novel of the same name, The Running Man also stars Michael Cera, Karl Glusman, Josh Brolin, Colman Domingo, Katy O’Brian, William H. Macy, Daniel Ezra and Lee Pace.

The Running Man (which Wright directs from a script co-written with Michael Bacall) sees Powell (Hit Man, Twisters) star as protagonist Ben Richards, a participant in a dystopian reality television show in which contestants win money by evading a team of hitmen sent to kill them.

Wright's The Running Man is the first adaptation since the Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring 1987 movie from Paul Michael Glazer, and promises to stick closely to King's original story. The pic marks Wright's first feature since 2021's Last Night in Soho.
