Our Cannes wrap-up coverage is coming to a close, but we still have one more behind-the-scenes exclusive for you from The Séance, You Know Films' first-of-its-kind digital show about the market’s genre film buzz with partnership from FANGORIA and Paramount Scares.
In the latest edition of The Séance, You Know Films' founder and Fantastic Pavilion Producer Alex Noyer brings us an exclusive chat with the two of the stars of his own film Love is the Monster, Kristina Tonteri-Young (Warrior Nun, Kenneth Brannagh’s The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde) and Tatu Sinisalo (Sisu).
Written and directed by Noyer and co-written by Hannua Aukia and Blair Bathory, Love is the Monster was inspired by Finnish mythology, and follows a troubled couple who head to Finland for a transformative retreat, where they fall prey to a sinister cult seeking to resurrect an ancient goddess of love.
Chatting with Noyer, Tonteri-Young and Sinisalo delve more into the “extraordinarily creepy” roots of Finnish folklore, and why it's time for more Finnish genre tales to hit the big screen.
Watch our exclusive chat with Tonteri-Young and Sinisalo below and to catch up with all wrap-up interviews from The Séance, make sure you're keeping an eye on and following FANGORIA's socials – Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
