Those pesky masked maniacs are still out for blood in the new trailer for The Strangers – Chapter 3, hitting theaters on Febuary 6 via Lionsgate.

Directed by Renny Harlin (Deep Blue Sea, the upcoming orca-attack thriller Black Tides), The Strangers – Chapter 3 sees star Madelaine Petsch return, as well as Gabriel Basso, Ema Horvath, Pablo Sandstrom, and Richard Brake. The Strangers – Chapter 3 is written by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland, with producers Courtney Solomon, Mark Canton, Christopher Milburn, Gary Raskin, Alastair Burlingham, and Charlie Dombek. It’s the fifth film in the franchise originally created by Bryan Bertino, which began with the film starring Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman. Following the cult hit sequel The Strangers: Prey at Night, the franchise was rebooted with the current Petsch-led trilogy, which comes to a close next month.

In a previous interview with PhotoBook Magazine, Petsch spoke more about her experience on set with the Strangers team, and taking the “intense” journey across the course of the three movies:

The entire trilogy of films was such a collaborative experience between Renny, Courtney and I, we referred to ourselves as the three headed monster. It was really lovely to be so heavily championed in a role like that not only as an actor and producer. My instincts were really celebrated on that set, it was a dream.

I think the hardest thing about being in a horror film for the actor is the constant feeling of your body being in fight or flight. I realized on these movies that my body doesn’t know the difference, if you’re scared, you’re scared. So when I had those really intense fear scenes (which let’s be honest was basically the entire trilogy of films) I found my body couldn’t really ramp back down after a day of work. I’m sure my cortisol shot up while shooting too

The Strangers – Chapter 3 hits theaters on February 6. Check out the new trailer below, and for more, here's all the horror movies we're excited for in 2026.
