Maggie And Negan Reunite In THE WALKING DEAD: DEAD CITY Season 2 Trailer

AMC's zombie horror series returns on May 4.

AMC's The Walking Dead: Dead City returns for Season 2 on May 4, with a new official trailer today teasing more zombie chaos, fractured post-apocalyptic politics and… a bear?

Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan as fan-favorites Negan and Maggie, The Walking Dead: Dead City‘s second season picks up where the first season finished back in 2023:

The Walking Dead: Dead City follows the popular Maggie (Cohan) and Negan (Morgan) characters traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, long ago cut off from the mainland. In season two, in the growing war for control of New York City, Maggie and Negan find themselves trapped on opposite sides. As their paths intertwine, they come to see that the way out for both is more complicated and harrowing than they ever imagined.

Starring alongside Morgan and Cohan are Gaius Charles, Željko Ivanek, Mahina Anne Marie Napoleon, Lisa Emery, Logan Kim, Dascha Polanco and Kim Coates.

Eli Jorné returns as showrunner, with Cohan set to direct two episodes in the second season.

Of course, anyone familiar with The Walking Dead knows that Maggie and Negan aren't exactly the dynamic duo you'd expect, as in The Walking Dead‘s seventh season, Negan brutally bludgeoned Maggie's husband Glenn (Steven Yeun) to death with his signature barbed baseball bat named Lucille. The very same Lucille who Maggie can be seen holding in today's new trailer…

The new trailer also teases some interesting new power dynamics, with Negan fully embracing a leadership role for the vicious Burazi gang.
