As a part of their latest immersive offering, Universal Studios Hollywood is bringing one of the most iconic animated series of all time to life for a limited time. The West Coast park has just announced details for their latest Universal Fan Fest Nights event, running for twelve nights only this spring, and fans have an opportunity to dive into the world of Scooby-Doo as they meet Universal’s iconic monsters.
The after hours event, which “celebrates the exhilarating world of fandom through immersive and interactive in-world experiences,” features numerous interactive experiences this year, including Scooby-Doo Meets the Universal Monsters: Mystery on the Backlot. Inspired by the classic series, fans will have an opportunity to step into a live-action adventure with the Mystery Inc. gang that begins on the Studio Tour tram, taking them backstage to the Universal backlot.
There, they’ll walk with Scooby and the gang as they encounter Universal Monsters like Frankenstein and his Bride, Dracula, and the Wolf Man, pitting the iconic ghost hunters up against real creatures. The experience will take fans through portions of Universal’s iconic filming locations, including Little Europe and the Court of Miracles, both of which were used in the filming of Frankenstein and The Wolf Man.

Other events at this year’s Fan Fest Nights include a One Piece Grand Pirate Show taking over the park’s WaterWorld show venue, as well as a Yoshi celebration in Super Nintendo World, and the hunt for a lost hippogriff in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Additionally, a Dungeons & Dragons walk-through experience will be available in the park, featuring Xanathar, a full-size puppet created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
This year’s Universal Fan Fest Nights will take place on April 23-25 and the first three weekends in May. For more information and to purchase tickets, you can check out Universal Studios Hollywood’s website.
