Heads up, Jordan Peele fans, you’ve got an opportunity to get your hands on some extra-special merch for one of his best films. FANGORIA is partnering with Film at Lincoln Center to celebrate their upcoming film series, The Other America: A Cosmology of Jordan Peele’s Us, and the publication of the film’s screenplay, by giving away not only some killer screening tickets but also a copy of the book itself.
One winner of the giveaway will receive not only a signed copy of Us: The Annotated Screenplay, but also two tickets for the June 22 screening of the film at Lincoln Center, featuring a post-film Q&A with fashion designer Mary Ping and Melissa Huber, current Associate Curator of The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Another will win a copy of the screenplay, as well as two tickets to their June 25 screening of Nightbreed, featuring a discussion with writer and designer Leila Taylor, actress Anne Bobby and filmmaker Sierra Pettengill.
Us: The Annotated Screenplay not only features the layout of Peele’s sophomore film, but features “in-depth footnotes, commentaries, marginalia, and a constellation of images, definitions, and inspirations have untethered entirely new references orbiting the film—everything and everyone from W. E. B. Du Bois, C.H.U.D., Sylvia Plath, and Oscar Micheaux, to Donnie Darko, Lewis Carroll, The Beach Boys, and more.”
In addition to the June 26 screening, Film at Lincoln Center is also running an entire program dedicated to Peele’s film to celebrate the screenplay’s publication, featuring double features (including the film paired with Body & Soul), supplementary reading material, in-person appearances from some of the book’s contributing writers, and never-before-seen 35mm presentations of Us.
