What’s up, Losers? It’s another week so that means we have another episode of IT: Welcome to Derry up for discussion and boy what an episode we have to discuss this week.
The last couple of episodes have been heavy with character and plot set ups. The chess pieces have been moving towards this extremely entertaining and slightly terrifying confrontation as the adults, the kids, and a certain horror icon all converge in the sewer system beneath Derry.
Episode 5, titled Neibolt Street, finally gives us some of that good ol’ Pennywise action and Bill Skarsgard hasn’t missed a beat. The clown is back, he’s as cruel and sadistic as we want him to be, and our poor main characters might finally be realizing how in over their heads they really are.
Me and my Kingcast co-host, Anthony Breznican, are very excited to break down this episode, point out some Stephen King Easter Eggs, and contemplate what the future holds.
You have a couple of options to tune into Watching IT: Welcome to Derry and hear me and Brez breaking all this down. Check out the show on YouTube and see our pretty little faces below:
Or go the traditional podcast route and listen with your earholes.
As usual, big thanks to Watching It: Welcome to Derry’s sponsor Blackmagic Design, the creators of the equipment actually used to make some of your favorite recent genre, like Final Destination Bloodlines, Longlegs, and even Andy Muschietti’s IT films.
Enjoy this week’s show and we’ll see y’all next week!
