While Stranger Things may have wrapped up its run on Netflix, we haven’t escaped the Upside Down just yet. Universal Studios has announced that both its Orlando and Hollywood locations will be home to a Stranger Things-themed house at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, themed around the characters and scenes from the beloved show’s final season.
Attendees at this year’s event will be transported to the town of Hawkins, where they’ll journey through the Wheeler House, Hawkins National Laboratory, and the MAC-Z military base, before they enter the Upside Down and encounter Demogorgons, Vecna, and other sinister creatures. They’ll also encounter some of their favorite characters from across Season 5 as they battle to survive the night and save Hawkins from sheer destruction.
Stranger Things is the third house to be announced for this year’s event on both coasts, after this year’s icons Jack the Clown and Oddfellow landed their own house, Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control, as well as welcoming Smoke and Stack into the fold for a Sinners-themed house. Other details for this year’s houses have yet to be announced, but merchandise for the three revealed houses is available now, including ‘80s-themed Stranger Things items, as well as a collectible Infernal Carnival display, in which guests can place acrylic figures of the houses’ icons.
This is just about the last vestige of Stranger Things that Netflix is bringing to life now that the show has wrapped up. While the Tales From ‘85 animated series is going strong on the streamer, the long-running Broadway show based on the series is closing, and with no more seasons coming up, this just might be the last we see of Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and the rest of the gang.
